The Department of Clinical Disciplines is one of the leading structural units of the University of South Asia, providing training of highly qualified specialists in the fields of medicine in accordance with the State Educational Standards of Higher Professional Education and modern international requirements for medical training.
The Department delivers educational activities across a wide range of clinical disciplines, forming students’ professional competencies, clinical reasoning, and practical skills in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation of patients. Particular emphasis is placed on developing an analytical approach to clinical situations, making evidence-based medical decisions, and adhering to the principles of evidence-based medicine.
The educational process is aimed at the step-by-step formation of the professional readiness of future physicians — from mastering propaedeutic disciplines to clinical practice and independent patient management under the supervision of faculty members and clinical mentors. Training is carried out with the integration of fundamental theoretical knowledge and practical activity within a real clinical environment.
Teaching is conducted using modern educational technologies, including interactive lectures, clinical case discussions, simulation-based training, small group work, problem-based learning (PBL), and digital educational resources. Elements of evidence-based medicine, clinical guidelines, and modern standards of medical care are actively incorporated into the educational process.
Practical training is provided at the University’s clinical bases and partner healthcare institutions, ensuring the development of stable professional skills, communicative competencies, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
The Department also conducts research activities, engaging students in scientific projects, conferences, and publication work. This contributes to the development of research skills, critical thinking, and readiness for continuous professional development.
The activities of the Department are aimed at preparing competitive specialists capable of working effectively within the healthcare system, adhering to professional ethics, applying modern medical technologies, and continuously improving their professional competencies.
